This is a set of Jim Dunlop Super Bright bass strings designed for multi-scale and fanned fret 5-string basses - including the popular Dingwall NG-3, Combustion, Afterburner, and fanned fret basses with 37" B-Strings. We’ve heard these strings do everything from a heavy metal growl to silky, smooth funk.
‘Super Bright’ is a cool-sounding but odd name for this range of strings because it’s not literal, at least to my ear. These strings have clout! They have full-on low-end drive with punch, and clear, but smooth definition and clarity. They respond brilliantly to changes in timbre and dynamic, completely balanced across the whole spectrum.
