RATIO – Individual Gear Ratios for Every String.
Graph Tech's patented RATIO technology makes guitar tuning faster, easier and more precise. Unlike traditional tuning machines, each string has its own gear ratio, specifically designed to compensate for differences in string thickness.
This means that every string responds consistently when turning the tuning button. Approximately half a turn corresponds to a semitone, while a full turn corresponds to a whole tone.
The result is smooth, predictable and accurate tuning, even when switching between different tunings.
